This Privacy Policy explains how DataBeam ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and lead-management platform (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and password (stored hashed) when you register.
- Registration context — at the moment you create an account we record, once, the technical details of the device you signed up from: your browser and operating system, device type, screen and window size, time zone, IP address, and an approximate country/region derived from that IP. We do not ask your browser for your precise location and never request GPS coordinates. This is kept for account security and fraud prevention, is visible only to our administrators, is not updated when you later sign in, and is deleted with your account.
- Form & lead data — the forms you create and the submissions ("leads") they capture, including any fields you configure plus the submitter's IP address, browser user agent, and referring URL.
- Usage data — basic technical information about how you interact with the dashboard.
- Support diagnostics — when you report an issue through the in-app support widget, we attach technical details to your report so we can reproduce the problem: the page address you were on (with any security tokens removed before storage), your browser and operating system, device type, screen and window size, time zone, IP address, and an approximate country/region derived from that IP. The widget shows you these values before you send. Any screenshot you choose to attach is stored privately and is visible only to our support staff.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To deliver lead-alert and thank-you emails you configure.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, and enforce rate limits.
- To communicate with you about your account or important changes.
3. Lead Data & Your Responsibilities
You are the controller of the lead data you collect through your forms. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required from the people who submit your forms and for handling their data in line with applicable law. We process this data on your behalf to provide the Service.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service (for example, hosting and email delivery), or where required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and lead data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete forms and leads from your dashboard, and you can request deletion of your account at any time.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including API-key authentication, hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights

8. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the dashboard. We do not use them to track you across other sites.
